CAT Tools (Computer Assisted Translation tools) are software created to facilitate the work of translators and best exploit the potential of translation memories.

Translations memories (TM) are a means of saving terms that have already been translated.

They are an archive to be consulted for future jobs belonging to the same client, containing information on the terminology and style of translation. In following these guidelines, translators maintain a high standard of quality and continuity across texts.

Note, however, that the segments of text making up translation memories are not automatically translated by a machine, rather they are the product of our translators’ work.

Here’s how translation memories work

If, after entrusting us with a first text to translate, you need to request a second translation, the translator can refer to the terminology and stylistic choices previously adopted. This allows them to maintain the same style, consistency and quality of the initial translation.

For this reason, we offer:

  • private and customised translation memories;
  • a glossary specific to your company;
  • a separate memory for each language in which you have requested translations, even rare languages;
  • a dedicated reviser for each language, who periodically checks and perfects the glossary.
