How to recognise professional translations
Here are the reasons allowing us to define ourselves as an agency that offers only highly professional translations.
-
A network of more than 2000 native speaking translators.
We guarantee consistency and greater assurance compared to freelancers. Thanks to our network, we always have a translator available for each project, who is provided with all the technical and linguistic tools necessary to satisfy the quality standards and deadlines indicated in the quote. -
We only work with professional translators.
Our collaborators are qualified and carefully selected translators who work in this industry on a full-time basis. Only translators with proven qualifications, reference letters, and who submit to regular translation tests are accepted into our network. -
Trawort translators live all over the world and constantly speak in the language into which they translate.
We collaborate with native speakers who live and work in their native country, and who are therefore always up to date on latest developments in their language of reference. By speaking the language every day, their vocabulary is automatically updated, even with local jargon. Moreover, they can put themselves in the shoes of those on the receiving end of the translation, because they share the same culture. -
Every translator we select is specialised in a specific field.
Our collaborators have perfect knowledge of their native language and, thanks to their education or professional background, can perfectly master it in a specific field, whether technical, legal, financial, and so on. Every Trawort project is assigned to the professional translator deemed most qualified to provide a truly impeccable service. -
We periodically assess translators’ skills.
When a translator first starts working with us, they complete 3 translation tests in order to determine their effective skills. During the course of the relationship, we regularly check that their work maintains a high level of quality. These steps all form part of the supplier qualification process. -
We continually provide training and assistance to our collaborators.
Our collaborators are provided with all digital tools necessary to support the translation, up-to-date glossaries, and reference materials provided by the client.
Trawort translators are part of a team that strives to achieve a very clear result: high-level translations.
Revision
Revision has a twofold objective. This is in fact an additional serviced offered by Trawort to perfect translations made by others, but also an internal quality control tool to check our own work. It can therefore be applied to different types of texts, including:
-
a translation already in the client’s possession
Revising a text that has already been translated can be less simple and straightforward than expected. We also ask to receive the source text of the translation to facilitate the work of the revisers. -
the work of one of our translators
Internal revision is an activity we perform on a regular basis. The most experienced translators are responsible for checking each job before delivery, ascertaining the correctness of the translation and ensuring the final product is of the highest quality.
Double revision is an added benefit of working with an agency, which is not likely to be offered by individual freelancers. At Trawort, your translations will always be made by a translator and checked by a reviser.
The crucial role of revisers
At Trawort, a final check by a reviser is essential and guaranteed. Here’s who our revisers are:
- professionals to whom translators can turn for all doubts, in every field of translation;
- persons responsible for correcting the translation tests and following the training of aspiring Trawort translators;
- overseers of client translation memories in their own native language.
This is yet another important benefit: we create a translation memory in each language, for each client. The translation memory (TM) is the set of translations made for each project.
Revisers are responsible for ensuring the consistency and correctness of the segments saved in the memories. This also ensures the quality of future projects should the original translator not be available, as future translators will always be able to consult the previously translated and checked material.
